If you’re in Australia, I hope you enjoyed the Queens Birthday long weekend!
I finally had some extra time to relax and slow down last weekend. For many of us though, these long weekends can be filled with more sports events to get the kids to, more things to rush to and well….just more ‘busy’.
We are all so busy in our lives and it got me thinking this weekend about how to get it all done.
I heard about this cool thing called NET time or ‘No Extra Time’ to fit things in.
So the idea is that you listen to a podcast while walking, or listen to a book while driving or clean out a drawer while waiting for the pasta to boil – that kind of thing.
Just this week I have managed to organise my entire house – like every single cupboard, drawer, filing cabinet – everything with this NET idea.
So if you’re busy (who isn’t) try fitting some of the things you are putting off about your career development, or that business you want to start, or that creative project you have been thinking about, into the ‘cracks of time in between’ and see what happens.
On a side note, I feel lighter and more mentally clear now that my filing cabinet and drawers are more organised.
